Happy Independent Day Malaysian! Independent from the ruling government who was betrayed the Malaysian's trust, destroy the 'Amanah', abuse of power and leads to so many corruption!
Six decades after independence, what happened today is such a dream come true! Malaysia has truly shown itself to be a democracy.
What happened today is the proved that Rakyat (the people) has power to decide who will be the Leader of the country. To the new government, don't deny the power of the people.
I'm so grateful for the results! We went "Balik Kampung' despite of the crazy jammed and the election is purposely done in the middle of the week which rarely happened before. But, because we love our country so much, we just go for it without hesitation! We have fun along the hours of traffic jammed, waving and smiling to each others. I almost shed in tears seeing this phenomena. That's why I said this is a history for a New Malaysia. This should be added into the History Subject in school. Seriously!
Malaysians showed that despite all dramas, party de-registration and court cases leading to the election, despite arguments about religious law and conversion accusations, despite heated campaigning, Malaysians voted, counted and subsequently celebrated peacefully.
May harmony and peace be forever the hallmark of our country, and our similarities and common agenda unite us against those promoting division. And may Allah protect Malaysia and all Malaysians!!
