It was the most intense day on my life!
I’ve been waiting since morning. Time past at 6.45 pm. He walks into the room and have chit-chat with one of our colleague sitting next to him.
Right after he said, he wants to pack and go back. I quickly grab his attention.
I asked him, “Are you leaving now?”
He was looking at me and said,” yeaah.. why??” (with his snob attitude face).
I said, I have something for you.
Then, I gave him the letter in the envelope and let him take his time to open the envelope and read.
I was quickly look at my PC and he suddenly said it louder. “Let's talk!”
We got into a meeting room so that we can talk in private.
I'm actually, doesn't have anything to talk to him anymore.
I thought the letter would explain everything.
He was like, 'OK tell me what is this?' while showing the letter to me.
I was looking at him with smile. He read it again and said OK.
He asked me, “Do you mind sharing?”
“Is it same position?”
“Nope” I said, “Different position”.
“Oil n Gas?”
I said "Not really".
He said “completely different?”
I said, "hmm.. later you will know".
Then he continue talking like he always did.
He said, “I know for this couple of years, we haven't be able to do something or improve something like we plan. Bla..bla..bla..”
Like always, he was trying to stress that he is not a part of the reason why I had to make a move. Continue saying that he can’t do much..bla..bla..bla.
I just nodded and said “I understand”..
And I continue smile.
He then said 'Ok' will discuss again how you want to utilize your leave and all.
Surprisingly, he said “I also don't know what to say anymore”.
That is the shortest meeting /confrontation session over the past 6 years. Not even 10 minutes.
I just smile and said "Thank You".
And I left the meeting room before him..
That was the day I submitted my tender resignation letter with confident!
Although I have some doubts earlier but after thinking of what has happened and how he treated me all this while.
It was great to be able to see his face when I hand over my resignation letter.
I should say it loud..
TAKE THAT SUCKER!!!
