Sadaqah Diary ~ Where You Share Your Journey

Assalamualaykum,
Ramadhan Kareem!

Join me for the Ramadhan Challenge that I made it myself! You can do yours also! Let's do something different during our New Normal Ramadhan 2020.

I have created the group for my family member to join me for the Sadaqah Diary, you can do yours also. It just between your family and friends, we do good deeds together so that we can get into Jannah together, InsyaAllah. You got the concept? Easy right.💁

So, everyday I will updated them on who to donate from the list that I already prepared. It could be from NGOs, celebrity (of course Ustaz Ebit is in the list), Old Folks Home, Orphanage, Tahfiz, Frontliners, Asnaf, Masjid and whoever in need. Not too worries, we have 30 days to go and so many place to give.

Don't get me wrong, there are many ways of sadaqah not only monetary. But I find it the easiest way since we can't go anywhere to help during RMO/PKP Covid-19 lockdown.

Make an intention this Ramadan to donate a set number of ringgit each day, or even just 1 ringgit – whatever you are able to give, you give. Give 1, 2, 5, 10 ringgit a day and you’ll be earning the rewards of Allah subḥānahu Wa Taāla (Glorified and Exalted be He) whilst fasting in the month of Ramadan, Insha’Allah. Let's!

Assalamualaykum Bhaai! ~ Journey To My International Mission 2019

Bismillahirrohmannirrohim..

In the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.

I would like to share this exciting moment to everyone who reach my Blog. It took me for several years in voluntarism activities before I get here. Alhamdulillah, I was being selected to do my first International Mission this year. Subhanallah. This is actually a dream comes true! Yeay!! Well actually, my ultimate goal for voluntarism is to serve in Palestine and Syria which I don’t think my family are ready for it. So, let’s start with the less risk country first. Huhu. I hope so!

It was not easy to get selected of course. There are hundreds of dedicated volunteers across Malaysia. And also, there are so many talented people, artist, and famous people, influencers who are normally being selected to become the face or ambassador of many NGO’s projects. This is because they will bring more audience and people will be more excited to join the event if they can meet with this famous people, isn’t it? I remember, when I was with Aman Palestine’s event, people is often asking if Heliza Helmi is joining? When I join the Syria Care’s event, people are looking forward to meet Hafiz Hamidun, Faizal Tahir or the new one is Khai Bahar. Well, that could be a good thing, but that doesn’t mean that ordinary people can’t do the job better.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I hate famous people, but I think NGO should appreciates your volunteers or this unsung hero (those who are working without being recognized) more. We are here for the same reason no matter how famous you are or not. And of course, being a volunteer/ activist it’s not about getting recognition or reward. Let just leave the reward part to Allah. But, at least appreciates these people, without them it would be difficult for the NGOs to achieve their target or complete their projects.

OK, hold it! Enough! The main thing that I wanted to share is me and my team here will be leading this mission. To be honest, I was really nervous. I think, among all of us I’m like the tiny one. There is a Lecturer, a PHD holder, a Wildlife Researcher, an Associates Vice President of a company, a Government High Officer plus Post Graduates and me, just the tiny officer in a local private sector. Feel really small compared to others. But, since Allah have gave me the chance to be a part of the team I feel really honoured to be here. And we are coming from different part of Malaysia. There is one from Sabah, one from Sarawak, one from Pahang, one from Perak and the rest are coming from Selangor and Klang valley. Subhanallah! May Allah bless our team and efforts. We communicate and update each other through WhatsApp and Skype. Thanks to the technology, there are no boundaries anymore.

InsyaAllah, since the hectic Ramadhan activities has ended, our activity will soon take place. We will be leading the various initiatives of fund raising in order to collect enough fund to build water wells for Bangladesh! Yes! Bangladesh! You heard it right! Before you ever ask why Bangladesh? Let me give you a heads up about this project.

The objective of this project is to increase safe water among the targeted communities by building 100 shallow tube wells and 32 deep tube wells and to increased sanitation and hygiene practices. For your information, access to safe water and hygiene promotion is very hard in some areas in the central part of Bangladesh due to its geographical characteristics. Possibility of hard soil, stone, rock, arsenic and iron contamination in the area is very high. Most of the people are poor in terms of their socioeconomic condition. Installation of a safe water facility is very hard for the community. As a result, water borne diseases, malnutrition are high.

On the other hand, poor hygiene and sanitation conditions in Bangladesh are, among others reflected in some facts like Poor hygiene practices are still prevalent in the rural areas. This is why we need to do something to help. We need estimated amount of RM 500,000.00 for the fund to build the well. Just imagine, 1,584 families (7,920 individuals) will be benefited from the projects and you will be a part of it. It's a welfare (wakaf) water wells for public use. Subhanallah.

We will start our fund raising campaign soon. Therefore, make sure you will take part in our journey. And I’m pretty sure challenges are waiting for us but, let just pray that Allah will help us and accept our good deed and ease everything for us.

If you are asking why Bangladesh?
Well, here is goes, the Muslim population in Bangladesh was over 146 million in 2011, which makes up 90% percent of the population in the country. The Constitution of Bangladesh declares Islam as the state religion. Bangladesh is the fourth-largest Muslim-populated country. Muslims are the predominant community of the country and they form the majority of the population in all eight divisions of Bangladesh. Is there any other reason why it’s not Bangladesh? We are closed to 2020, but our brothers and sisters didn't have the basic need which is clean water for their daily life. How sad.

Remember, Muslims are brothers and sisters, no matter what skin colour of yours, which country you belong to, even which part of the world you’re leave in, we will never leave you alone. We will help each other for the sake of Allah. InsyaAllah. Let’s do this together will you? Let's be a part of the solution.

Ramadhan Reminder ~ Don't Give Up on Ramadhan

Assalamualaikum wbt,

 Salam Ramadhan,

May this post find you in the pink of health and in the best of Imaan.

Alhamdulillah. Today we are still alive and kick-in and can continue our journey for another day on this Ramadhan month. How's your fasting so far? I was listening to Datuk Ustazah Norhafizah Musa yesterday and she reminded me on this.

Ustazah said, by the 10th of Ramadhan we should roughly know what is the grade of our fasting. Is it Bad? Satisfactory? Good? Excellent?? Are we done enough or not? Are we being neglected and do nothing to elevate our Ibadah? Did you wake-up for sahoor just get eat or drink? Have you ever spend 5-10 minutes of Tahajjud? Or we just don't care as long as we can break our fast on time, we are good already. This is for my self-reminder. Before puasa, I have written all I need to do and what I want to achieve and I’m still far behind. FAILED on my 10 days trial. FAILED to achieve my KPI. Allahurabbi.

BUT! BUT!! Don’t give up easily, we still have another 20 remaining days provided if we are still alive till the end of Ramadhan. Allahuakbar! Chayouk!! Let re-start!

Bismillahirrohmannirrohim..

PU, DA’I, Ustaz dan Dot..Dot..Dot.. ~ Dari Kaca Mata Marhaen

"Ustaz dan orang beragama gatal are truly disgusting. I can’t stand their jokes especially randomly dropping hints about marrying another on social media or in their ceramah. (tak class la Ustaz) not taking into account the feelings of their wives or women. Try educating men to value and respect women instead. Above all, they think they can get away with it because they are alim, because they are men and use whatever verses or Hadith to justify their bloody gatalness. Be a man. Respect your wife first and foremost."

Petikan dari kenyataan Sis Wardina. Which I totally agree! I also have been approached by someone with the “Ustaz” title before this. He already got two wives but still DM/PM me whenever I update my IG or FB. But suddenly he have been missing from the social media. Which I don’t know why, but that doesn’t concerned me.

If the man with Ustaz title doesn’t act in a right way, what about other ordinary guy? But listen Marhaen, (ordinary people@rakyat jelata) Ustaz is just a title, like a doctor, teacher or lawyer. Ustaz is just their designation, their job (cari makan). Ustaz is also an ordinary man but we (the Marhaen) expect Ustaz to be someone who is highly educated, carry out Islamic Values and appear to be someone who is wise, stand for justice with their Islamic appearance (wear Jubah, lebai or serban) which is extra from an ordinary guy. We (the Marhaen) who portray this image in our head. Am I right?

Who’s agree with me? Say I? I bet not. OK, let’s be fair to everyone. Not all Ustaz like that. There are so many Ustaz/Daie/PU who carried out their duty in a right way. Masih ada Ustaz yang berkorban harta benda, jiwa raga untuk Islam. Yes, there is!

WOW! There’s a lot to talk man! If we take it as a source of kecaman. Maka berbondong-bondonglah kecaman, makian dan hinaan yang dilemparkan untuk seorang PU. Well, things have done. There must be something we can learn from this. I pray and hope that his ex-wife will go through her trial with Sabr (sabar / patient) and for the PU to learn from his mistake. Even though dia dah pun tulis minta maaf kerana ceraikan isteri dia, but what we want is he will be fully responsible towards his ex-wife and the future baby. And for the new wife, learn to respect other women. Senang for us to say. Yes, only those who go through it will understand.

From my experience dealing with this “Ustaz Gatal” ni, memang akan keluar juga ayat kecaman tu! Bukan nak membuka pekung di dada but I know an Ustaz who is marrying more than one wife but didn't carry out his duty to all his wives. I know it, how do I know? Well, my dearest family member who is one of the wives. He married for the 3rd time, but keep it as a secret for more than years now. He even got a son from his 3rd marriage. Married in Thailand to keep secret from his two wives. The first I hear that they are going to Songkla, Thailand to get married, I know already, this Ustaz memang tak boleh pakai. I thought right after that, dia akan explain pada family and his other 2 wives but sampai sekarang pun masih belum lagi. His son is almost 3 years old now. Sampai bila nak sorok?? Yang paling aku geram, bila jumpa saudara-mara dia kat luar, dia tak mengaku itu isteri dan anak dia. Bloody He** kan? Hah! Kan dah terkeluar ayat kecaman aku. He once said the 3rd wife tu pekerja dia. Kalau ada orang datang jumpa dia, dia suruh anak dia yang 3 tahun tu jangan keluar sebab this kid dah pandai sebut “Ayah”. Nanti kantoi depan semua orang budak tu anak dia. Kurang aj** betul! Hah! Kan dah terkeluar lagi.

I truly lost respect towards him anymore even with his title as Ustaz. Masa 3rd wife tu bersalin pun tak tengok, masa kenduri cukur jambul anak die pun dia tak datang. We all hope that he will lead the prayer for the kenduri cukur jambul tu, but he is gone missing without trace. Lastly, he called and cakap dia tak boleh datang when we have all our guest waiting for him. We did our best and search for other Ustaz to lead the kenduri. That is truly hurt the family feelings. I was there feeling geram as well. Why la orang macam ni jadi Ustaz??

Berceramah kat luar, tapi rumah tangga sendiri tak terjaga. Why get married more than one wife if cannot carry out duty with fairness. Selalu orang cakap bini muda akan dapat lebih perhatian, but difference with this 3rd wife. She got nothing from her husband from the day she married to him. I can be the witness. I just hope and pray that the 3rd wife will find her own happiness, with or without the Ustaz. Let’s leave it to Allah to decide what is the best for her. May Allah guide you dear. If her jodoh panjang I hope that Ustaz berubah to be responsible towards her. May Allah give him Hidayah and berubah sebelum terlambat.

To all Ustaz kat luar tu, please ambil iktibar dan jangan tersasar dalam berdakwah. Jangan kahwin lebih dari satu kalau tak mampu. Mampu here is not only about money, but time, kasih sayang, mampu ke nak bagi adil? Tanya diri sendiri, adilkah aku? Mampukah aku? Jangan jadi BODOH, meletakkan diri dalam belenggu dosa menganiaya isteri dan berperilaku munafik! Menasihatkan orang tapi diri sendiri tak buat. Stop jadi penunggang agama la wei! That’s the word!

Ok, done kecam!

Please.. Please..Please..Never Forget Palestine in Our Prayer

Assalamualaykum wbt,

While we are still in grief from the NZ Christchurch Mosque attacked and several other attacked on mosque and Muslim around the world. Let's not forget about Palestine my friend. They are now under attacked. In fact today has been 4 days since the attacked by the "Israhell"

"The rocket attack destroyed a residential home in the community of Mishmeret, north of the city of Kfar Saba, wounding six members of the family.

Israel's ambulance service said it treated seven people overall, including two women who were moderately wounded. The others, including two children and an infant, had minor wounds.

The sounds of air raid sirens jolted residents of the Sharon area, northeast of Tel Aviv, from their sleep shortly after 5am (03:00 GMT). A strong sound of an explosion followed."

Reported by Al Jazeera,

I'm not sure about the number of victims. But most probably it will increase day by day. Allahuakbar.
Let us not forget them in our prayer.

Jummah Mubarak!

My Secret Inner Peace

Po: Master Shifu what are you doing?
Shifu: One of Oogways’s final teachings
Po: Wow, awesome – what was that?
Shifu: Inner peace
Po: Awesome, inner peace, that’s cool – inner peace of what?
Shifu: It is the next phase of your training. Every master must find his path to inner peace. Some choose to meditate for 50 years…

Quoted from my favourite movie of all time. Kung Fu Panda! I haven’t failed to watch every series in cinema. This movie got so many good things to learn from it. Kudos to Kung Fu Panda’s team.

In Kung Fu Panda 2. Remember how hard Po is struggling to claim his inner peace. At first he thought it was just another Kung Fu technique and not something that he can find on the inside. He pushes and pushes but still struggles to conquer his enemies. Only when he finds that inner peace (a place of forgiveness and acceptance) is he able to dance the same dance as Master Shifu.

So, have you got yours?

This is just a remark on what is happening to me lately. I thought I was OK with the fact that someone is not happy with me. Someone always talk behind my back. I thought I was OK knowing that there are some people who don’t like me. I took a deep thought.

I can’t ensure that everyone that I see and everyone that I met would like me. I was really nervous when I got into this situation. It’s not the first time. I had experience this kind of situation for many time. I just don’t understand. Even if we work together as a team, but not everyone is happily like to be working with you (myself). They see you as a rival, when you have done a good job. They see you as a sucker while you trying very hard to complete your job in time. They see you trying to get your boss attention and get a good grade in your performance. This type of people don’t want to improve themselves but simply blame other people who have done better than them. I came here to work, I came in peace but still, people are taking it differently. Can’t you see that I’m also struggling to be at my level right now? These people are easily blame me when they are not performing just because I did performed my task. How unfair!

Do I have to lower down my pace just to be in line with you? I bet, you would not like it also. I just don’t know what to do to satisfy you.

So how can I have Inner Peace while I’m not at peace?

When I saw Po’s picture, I came to realise what Po had teach me. When Po is struggling so hard to learn Kung Fu while Shifu and the Furious Five are trying to kick him out. They were actually really mean and cold to him while he was adjusting himself into the team. But he didn’t gave up. He came to realise his purpose to use his energy, his gifted skilled and his destiny to help others in need. He finally found the Secret Ingredient. I’m so happy that Po does have to change himself just to be fit with others.

Tai Lung: You can't defeat me! You're just a big fat panda!

Po: I'm not a big fat panda. I'm THE big fat panda.

So, I‘m just going to move on with this. Take it easy and do my part. I’m going to use my energy for a useful thing. It’s not easy to satisfy people. Hence, I’m not going to satisfy you. I’ll do my best because the job is the ‘Amanah’ (responsibility) to me, I do it because of Allah. Only Allah can justify my act.

Well, it’s actually easy to make friends, but to get a genuine friend it’s not that easy. So, I’ll just forgive everything that you have done to me. I won’t let this negativity impact me. I think I have found my inner peace.

"Your real strength comes from being the best you you can be. "

"Who are you?"

"What are you good at?"

"What makes you, YOU?"

Like the Po says, There is no charge for awesomeness and attractiveness!

P/S : I’m awesome, and you’re not! Sorry, but that’s not my problem. Get a life dude!

Skadoosh!!

NZ Mosque Tragedy ~ My Heart and Soul is in Grief

Bismillahirrohmanirrohim..
I will never get over this tragic attack.

I was not even there but my heart and my soul are with them. I was crying like a child when I red the news, I googled all news channel just to get the update story.

Dear my brother and sisters, wherever you are, you are in my Dua (prayer).

I was really, really frustrated, sad and devastated, lost, almost given up of this unfair treatment of Muslim around the world.

We are just like you are (White, Brown, Yellow, Black people or whatever colour you are). We are normal people who just want to live our life, we just want to perform prayer, demonstrate our religion by wearing Hijab or Serban, covering Aurah, wear modest dresses, have beard because it's Sunnah, but that is considered extremist!

My brothers and sisters were killed in Palestine.
Muslim and Christian Palestinians alike have been the subject of systematic ethnic cleansing in their own homeland now under the occupation of the European colonial enclave of Israel.

My brothers and sisters were killed in Syria.
First and foremost Bashar al-Assad (and his Russian and Iranian backers) who are responsible for the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of Syrians and driving the rest to refugee camps in and out of their devastated homeland.Genocide is like everyday happened in Syria and yet nobody cares.

My brothers and sisters were killed in China.
The UN reported that more than one million Uighurs are in detention in "counter-extremism centres" and at least two million are in "re-education camps". Muslims forced to drink alcohol and eat pork in China's 're-education' camps.

My brothers and sisters were killed in Myanmar.
The massacre of Muslim-majority Rohingya in Myanmar under the watchful eyes of the Nobel Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi has horrified the world but been kept apace for years now.

My brothers and sisters were killed in India.
The roots of Hindu violent mobs attacking Muslims in India is of course as old as British incitement of communal violence to sustain their own rule.

My brothers and sisters were killed in Bosnia
Not to forget this horrible history. More than 8,000 Muslim men and boys were killed in the town of Srebrenica by Bosnian-Serb forces in July 1995.

And after all killing and Muslims cleansing around the world and yet we are the one who have been called Terrorist!

How hateful is the world towards Muslims.
How unfair treatment has been given to us.
Why do you hate Muslims so much?
Are we are not human like you?

To those extremist, white supremacist, racist, Islamophobic there will be one day, you will realize that Islam is the true Religion to all mankind. Islam meaning is Peace. Islam is the way of life. Assalamualaikum that we address everyday to other Muslim is a prayer by the meaning of "Peace be upon You." How can this peaceful religion support terrorist?? Check your fact correctly my friend. Not from the biased Media. Seek the truth, you will find the truth.

I hope that when a Non-Muslims read this, it will knock your curiosity to find the truth about Islam. A simple example, who started the world War I & II ? Is it a Muslim?? Sept 11 attack does nothing to do with Muslim, it's a conspiracy, check the fact and the truth. Stop blaming Islam for everything bad happened to the world. A bad Muslim does not representing the whole Islamic constitution and believers. ISIS is NOT ISLAM. SYIAH is NOT ISLAM. Terrorist has no religion. There's no religion including Islam ask their believer to kill other believers!

Find the truth about Muhammad Rasulullah SAW. The Prophet, peace be upon him, had non-Muslim neighbors and family members who he loved, cared for, and had strong bonds and relationships with.  He is the evident that Islam do not teach to fight people simply based on their faith. If Islam taught Muslims to kill and hate all non-Muslims simply because of their faith then He should have been the first to do it. However, that was not the case.

The Quran clarifies the relationship between Muslims and non-Muslims as being one that is based on love and compassion. The Quran states Allah does not forbid you to deal justly and kindly with those who fought not against you on account of religion and did not drive you out of your homes. Verily, Allah loves those who deal with equity. (Quran 60: 8).

This verse makes it clear that the basis for fighting is not religion, but defense against those who attack Muslims for simply being Muslims. Although Islam allows Muslims to fight those who attack them, it requires Muslims to be fair and just even with their enemies.

Whatever happened to us was granted by Allah. I'm not saying Allah being so harsh to us. No! Does Allah permit this violence happened? No! But everything happened with a reason behind it. Every cloud has a silver lining. I heard from the news that more and more people are accepting Islam, the aftermath is more non-believer will start asking and studying about Islam. My wishes to those who support the Muslim community, who gives compassionate and pay tribute to the lost family, I pray that Allah will bless and shower you with Hidayah. Indeed, this is the greatest victory over the tragic incident and lost. Allahuakbar, May Allah protect us all.

~to all the Martyr, May Allah grant you the highest ranks of Jannah~

Recent update from Wisma Putra yesterday confirmed that the young Malaysian was killed in the shooting.

Innalillahiwainnailaihi rojiun, Al-Fatihah (Let us recite it together) to Allahyarham Haziq Tarmizi, a Malaysian victims of the NZ Mosque attack. My deepest condolences to his family. May Allah grant him the highest ranks of Jannah."

2019 : LinkedIn..LinkedOn..LinkedOut

#akaknaktegur #careeradvice #HRsisthur

It has been months that I didn't open my LinkedIn. (since I started my new job I guess). But today when I open it, I got sooo many email request to add friends. Most of them are all fresh grads.

Surprisingly, most of them asking for a connection to submit their CV. Weirdly, I didn't do recruitment, I never was! Although I'm in HR line, I never mentioned recruitment in my page. Can't you all read?? Or these young engineer or young grads doesn't know what is there in HR functions? Not all HR doing recruitment job. Recruitment is only one part of Human Resources function. Can you be more mindful?

This will lead to a wrong job request, and delay your chances to get a job. If I got time, I will forward your CV to the right person. If not, it will sit there in my inbox as I got nothing to do with it. I have to reply them saying that I'm not the right person for you to submit your CV. And CV is a P&C (private & confidential) thingy, don't simply send your CV to anyone my dear. Only send your CV when the recruiter is asking for it.

My ‘adik-adik’ (brothers and sisters) who just graduated please take note on this. If you need a career advice I might be able to assist, but job application is not my thing. Please use LinkedIn for the right purpose. It is not only for a job application, but to learn from the massive sources of expertise. There are so many expert in LinkedIn locally and internationally would be very pleased to assist you if you are asking the right questions. Try and discover a new connection, build your own network professionally. Engage with the right people, right group and you will find there are so many good things and experience you can get through LinkedIn.

Back then, when I first using LinkedIn I got so many friend request asking to ‘berkenal-kenalan’ (get to know each other) in an informal way. Hahaha. They are using it the wrong way. This is not a dating site, hello! But overtime, people start understand the meaning of this site. This site is established for a professional connection. This is the top online site for professional, social and career networking.

LinkedIn allows you to connect with your work friends, old colleagues and you can see where they work and where they have been. When you are using it the right way, LinkedIn is actually your online Resume or C.V which showcases your abilities and recommendations. You can connect with your old uni friends and find out where they have worked and where they are now.

But now, I’m getting job application pulak. Fuhh! Why la. Just my 2 cents, to ‘adik-adik’ (brothers and sisters) please educate yourself on this basic job application process. If you didn’t have the chance to learn it during uni, just google it. There are so many career website for your reference. Get ready before any job application, do some research about the company before you go for an interview. Don’t be so clueless about it and ruin your chance to get the job. OK?

So, may this New Year 2019 will get you the job that you are desired. Good Luck and Happy job hunting! Your job hunting is start NOW!!

Reflections - Bad Luck Does Not Smell (Malang Tak Berbau)

#bestrong #takeabreak #syarifahsyifa #fridaymubarak #reflection #fridayreflections

Alhamdulillah, I got a few days of MC because of the accident..this is the second time I got hit by someone, this time it was a lorry..I got back, hip and chest pain..truthfully, I was upset and frustrated by the fact that it wasn't my fault..for the second time.

Bye-bye MightyMyvi

See you again

But someone told me, if Allah keeps giving you the same tests, over and over again, there might just be something that He is trying to tell / teach you that you have not realised yet, or something that you might have missed.

These repeated tests are not because He is angry at you (we have to remember that our Rabb is ar-Rahman, the Mooooooooooooooooost Compassionate), rather, maybe it is Him trying to tell you, "my dear, there is something so important that I want you to learn. It will benefit no one but yourself. But you've got to stop being angry, stop being frustrated, and stop giving up. Instead, be still and find Me in these tests you are facing.

Find Me in your struggles, and you'll then understand why it happened the way it happened. Find Me in your hardships, and you will get yourself a firm handhold that will never break." Thanks my sister @aidaazlin_ for the love letter.. it means a lot to me..and for the rest of you, may Allah protect us and guide us often and not leave us behind.. Amiin..

Gift on A New Year (Alhamdulillah)

Assalamualaykum wbt..

Good day folks! How are you doing?
Wishing you a bless Wednesday as I just came back to work after a long weekend and holiday. Happy New Year, Maal Hijrah to all muslim around the world. May this year will bring us more closer to Allah day by day, and keep praying for the hidayah and guidance from Allah SWT.

Well, I have a good news to share with you! This has been my dream, my desire, my passion, my ambition to be a writer. I was once attending a camp during school to become the Young Writer. It is a fruitful session and really makes me believe in my ability. I was the one an only Science Stream student who get selected to go for this camp. I wouldn't know why my teacher picked me at the first place.

It start when I wrote a Cerpen (short story in Malay language) about a girl who have a very sad and challenging life. The title is "Dirantai Rindu". It is for our Malay language Writing subject. It has been chosen to be one of the story under a compilation of short story (cerpen) for my school. The printing of the book is done by my teacher himself. He really look into my talent. Thanks so much for trusting me "Cikgu".

I got the chance to meet up with all the established writer all over Malaysia. During the camp, I got to learn how to write with a good language, how to develop story plot, how to set the climax part, but it's pretty sad when most of the thing that I learnt,  I almost forgot. It takes a lot of practice to be a writer. It's not a one night awakening and suddenly you become a writer. Never.

When I was in University, I did participate in a writing competition and guest what? I won for the 1st runner up prize. That time I wrote about a girl and her journey to find love. She face a lot of trial in a way to find her true love destined by Allah (God). The title is "Bertakhta di Hati". I'm still have it in my Blog if you want to read. It's pretty challenging when I wrote this story. This is because I got to imagine the working situation and the office environment as I'm still in the college and never work in the office before. But it's not that awkward, so it's still OK.

Years passes, I stop write because I start to work after graduation. I didn't find time to write, but I keep my Blog just in case I need to write something. Nobody cares about Blog when everyone got their own IG page (Instagram). Moreover, most of the blogger haven't update their blog anymore. So, Blog nowadays consider as no longer relevant for reader. But, I still write in my Blog for my follower and for those who visiting my Blog. At least they got something, "Ibrah" when they click on my page.

So today, is a very wonderful day as I suddenly got an email from a publisher who wants to publish my story. Even it just under a compilation, but I'm happy enough to be a part of the project. Like seriously!! Are you kidding me?? There're thousand of story sent by all writers but yet they choose my story for the first book?? This is the best feeling I had in the 1st week of Islamic New Year!! The best!! I can't describe it!! Alhamdulillah.. Looking forward on the collaboration!

Friends For Benefits?? Anyone interested?

Assalamualaykum everyone!

Happy Friday! Have a Baraqah Friday, my favourite day of all.

I wanted to express my feeling to someone, but I was wrong. I don't have anyone that I can trust to speak about it. That’s why I wrote in this platform. Writing is much more easy than speak.

I was wrong again as I would be crazy to choose human over Allah. I should ask Allah first before I figure out who should I speak to. Right?

Well, I do have a lot messy on my plate. But compared to me, I know someone who always have something to share too. To be honest, when I listen to her story I feel more grateful than before. This is because she has a lot of complaint, when I know that she has everything that I don’t possess. She keep complaint about her family, her job, her boring life when the husband not around, her boring work when she got paid very high, her fierce mother and father who always ask for money, her siblings who is not helping and many more.

To start off, we used to work in the same office. We became really closed because of that. But recently, we both change our job. We’re now working in a different office, but she never fails to WA (WhatsApp) me with the same stories. Not that I’m bored, but I do find it really strange.

I would think of her as one of my best-friend as we shared a lot. We cried and happy for each other. We understand each other. We also went holiday together. I was with her when she had a tough time, I was with her through her marriage journey. I know her husband, I’m the one and only friend who came to his husband’s kampong and met his family. We took a lot of pictures together. But surprisingly, when I scroll into her IG (Instagram) I couldn’t find any picture of me.

When we separated, we start to follow each other in social media. That is how I can scroll her IG. Before this, both of us are on private mode. We never follow each other in social media while working together as we afraid of others will spying on us. Hahaha.

Well, I didn’t ask her but it took me by surprised. Not that I’m offended as she didn’t keep my picture in her IG where I put a lot of our picture together. But it makes me thinking, who am I to her?

I know her whole story, I know she has friends who always took advantage on her, used her for their own good. She always feel sad by the way they treated her.

Despite of being treated like sh**, she still hang-out with these people. She even invited them for makan-makan raya, purposely cooked for them, going shopping, karaoke some more together. When I ask her why she did that, she tell me that they were just her friends for benefits. She wanted to do the same to them. She wanted to used them and have fun whenever she get bored. I wasn’t agreed to this. I always remind her, you only hurting yourself all over again. If you can’t handle it, please stay away from those people.

I just can’t understand that there are some people who choose to be like that. She’s one of it. Just because she wanted to be in the circle of people who perceive to be FUN. Those people whose living like a celebrity wanna be. Baju raya always from a designer’s collection, IG full of FUN time pictures. Always talk about fashion, make-up, really follows trends, always look stylish, went for concert, theatre, carry branded item, have a great place for vacation, this and that.

#bff #lovelyfriends #greattime #greatfriends #girltime #girlfriends

And whenever she post picture with her ‘high-level’ friends, she always put hashtag of #bff #lovelyfriends #greattime #greatfriends #girltime #girlfriends and their picture are all over her IG. She did told me that her friends never post or tag her picture in their IG, not even double tab (like) her picture like I did all the time. Now, I understand why she did the same to me. Because I am her friends for benefits too?? Am I right??

A bit sad to find out there’s something like this. But I won’t do the same to her. I’m sincerely wants to be her friend and being a listener to her story. I just feel a bit sad for her. Whether I’m her friends for benefits or whatever they called it. I’m just grateful enough that I don’t have to be fake just to makes friends with others.

Dear ma friends, I hope you will realize someday. I’ll never feel tired to remind you about this (sometimes I feel I want to slap you).

Stop hurting yourself. Have pride and move on with your life. You have so many things to be thankful to Allah. Look at the bright side, Allah gave you everything you need without you noticed. Don’t forget that.

I won’t go anywhere. I’ll be here, if you need (want to use) me.
